Pictures of LA GOMERA |
La Gomera is the roughest of the Islas Canarias (or so they say). The island is almost a circle with a cross-section of about 15 kilometers, but due to all the ravines it takes 35 km or more to travel from one coast to the other. In the middle of La Gomera lies the National Park Garajonay, a typical forest with laurel trees and beardy mosses. La Gomera is attractive for walkers (who are not afraid of heights), the people who seek sunny beaches can better stay on Tenerife (although Tenerife has some wonderful spots too). |
