La Palma measures 47 by 29 kilometers. With its highest peak, the Roque de los Muchachos of 2426 meters, it is said to be the steepest island in the world. So it should not come as a surprise to you La Palma has a very rough landscape. The greatest attraction of La Palma is the Caldera de Taburiente, a giant crater that has been a National Park since 1954. Compared to some of the other islands, La Palma does not have lots and lots of tourists. La Palma is a place for walking, not for disco's. |
