The Ionian Islands are seven islands in the west of Greece. The most famous of the seven is Korfu, the most northern island.

Close together in the middle are the islands we visited: Lefkas, which is linked to the mainland with a dam, the small island Meganisi to the east of it, and further south Kefalonia and its small sister to the east: Ithaca. Especially Ithaca is known with Homer-lovers, because Odysseus is supposed to have lived there.

Well, with or without Odysseus: we found out that all four islands are attractive for active tourist: lots of places where you can walk, cycle or boat. And at the same time they are a great place for lazy tourists too (we think).
