After years of holidays in Europe (and one or two trips pretty close to Europe), we decided to go a bit further away. We went to New Zealand, about the furthest away as you can get from Holland. We found out it is really worth the 24 hours flying (one way, not counting the stop somewhere halfway). The landscapes are beautiful and very divers, the people are great and we have never before seen so many birds. If you can find the time and money, we can really recommend it. In New Zealand we sometimes saw T-shirts with the text: This T-shirt is very popular with Australians. Well, New Zealand actually is a lot better than the T-shirt would suggest.
